Angela

I am featuring my cousin, Angela, today on my blog for Singles Day on Kelly's Korner Blog.

Angela is 37 years old and lives in a small town in north Mississippi. She graduated from Mississippi State University and The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She is the pharmacy manager at a local pharmacy. Angela is a wonderful person inside and out. She is a faithful Christian who desires to follow God. She loves serving at church and is a leader in the children's ministry. She enjoys participating in mission trips and has a heart for people to come to know Christ as their Savior. Angela loves to travel and has had the opportunity to go to every state in the U.S. and to every continent, except Antarctica (and she would like to go there!). Although she loves to travel, she also loves to come back home. She is definitely a family person and loves spending time with her nieces and nephews. Angela has a great personality and is a very loving, caring, and helpful person. She enjoys cooking, especially for others. Angela seeks the Lord in everything and is patiently waiting and praying for the husband God has planned for her. Also she is an identical twin!

39 Weeks

39 weeks to the day and getting ready to be induced!

Please shield your eyes if a bare pregnant belly freaks you out but I wanted to remember what it looked like.......pretty large!

I never thought I would consider being induced. I always wanted the baby to come naturally. HOWEVER, I was tired, uncomfortable, and just plain sick of being pregnant, therefore, I jumped at the chance to set my own date and be induced. We arrived at the hospital at 6 a.m. I was so nervous the night before that I barely slept and finally got out of the bed around 3:30. Little did I know that I would not sleep again for almost two days....Labor and delivery post to follow....

Well I am finally trying to get back to blogging. I'm so mad at myself for waiting this long to post about Madden's birth, etc. I'm sure I have forgotten all the details I wanted to remember. But hopefully I can be more consistent from now on. Here are pics of his nursery I took before he arrived.......

38 Weeks

I am posting this pic and praying it's the last one I take! I am SO very grateful for a healthy and easy pregnancy, however, I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore. I am even more ready to hold and kiss this sweet baby. I had a doctor's appointment Friday and was hoping we would walk away with a for sure date to induce. My doctor told me if everything was favorable she would let me pick a date at 39 weeks. She tentatively put us down for Friday the 3rd, but Matt and I both would prefer Thursday the 2nd. Well she ended up getting called into the hospital, so I didn't get to see her and discuss. I had to see another doctor who told me I was STILL only 1 cm dilated. That makes 3 straight weeks in row. Ugh! Anyway, she scheduled me an appointment to come back and see my doctor Tuesday to discuss the date. I am hoping and praying she isn't against putting me in one day early. We will see!

On a random note, Mom and I showed up to church today sporting the same sweater!

37 Weeks

At my 37 week appointment I was still at 1 cm. I was definitley hoping for more progress, but apparently Madden just needs more time. My doctor told me she didn't think I would go into labor early. She did say that if everything looked good, she would let me pick a date at 39 weeks. So really Madden could be here in just two weeks! Ah! Although his mommy would not mind AT ALL if he decided to come earlier, this really works out best. Aunt Lauren will definitley be able to be at the birth if he waits until February to come. The "miserable" state continues, especially now that I have 'cankles'..yuck! I can't complain too much, because I have only started to have swelling over this past week or so. I am thankful I haven't had to deal with that the whole time. Matt spent yesterday putting the pack n play and bouncy seat together and installing the carseat into my car. We are all set and ready to meet our baby boy!

36 Weeks

At our 36 week appointment I found out I was dilated 1 cm! I had been having mildly painful contractions for the first time two days before my appointment. I was so excited to have made some progress! I am officially in the "miserable" state. Ready for this baby to get here! I think finding out I was making progress put Matt and I into action. I have been nesting like crazy and we have done everything on our list to prepare for his arrival.

My wonderful co-workers gave me a baby shower last week. I am so blessed to work with such sweet people! Here are a few pics....
