33 Weeks

Symptoms I am now experiencing: hot flashes (quite frequently I find myself burning up!), more intense Braxton Hicks contractions, even more frequent trips to the bathroom, and just being flat out uncomfortable especially at night. This little guy is still very very active. I feel like now that he is pretty crowded in there I feel every move he makes. Those little elbows and knees can be pretty uncomfortable at times!

We have finally made a ton of progress getting things ready for this baby. His carseat and stroller came in!

32 Weeks

32 Weeks

We went to the doctor last week and everything looked great. They will start checking his weight and position when I am 36 weeks. We are officially going to appointments every two weeks now! I feel like we are finally getting things accomplished as far as baby preparation goes. Madden's carseat came in today! We now have his dresser for his room (present from Uncle Josh and Aunt Lauren!..Thank you!). Also his  bedding and rocker should be in anytime now. We are finally painting his room this week! Love that things are finally coming together!

31 Weeks & A Baby Shower

31 weeks..9 wks or less to go!

We have our next dr. appointment tomorrow. I am anxious to see how much he has grown in the past 3 weeks. We will be having our appointments every two weeks from now on!

Sunday we had our first baby shower at my church. It was so much fun! We got a lot of precious things for Madden. It definitely made reality set in seeing all the diapers and oufits that he will be wearing. We are so close to meeting this baby!

30 Weeks

Madden and his mother are getting big! I am starting to feel very pregnant, especially at night. It is becoming very hard to get comfortable. I am constantly switching sides when sleeping. Madden loves to get his exercise in at night which doesn't help with the sleeping. However, he loves to get his exercise in during the day too. I don't think an hour goes by that he hasn't kicked or rolled around many times. I'm afraid we may have a very active little boy on our hands. This week I have also been getting the dizzy feeling a lot throughout the day. Braxton Hicks contractions haven't been as bad this past week. Those things freak me out. My doctor told me if I had 5 or 6 in an hour that I needed to call and let her know. On many occasions I will have up to four in an hour! It always makes me nervous. So thankfully they have happened less since about 29 weeks. I think that's about it as far as symptoms goes for this week.

This weekend I will be having my first baby shower at my church! I can't wait! It's definitely going to make things so real and probably send me into a little panic mode considering we are getting SO close to having him. I still have TONS to do. Thankfully I will be out for Christmas break in two weeks, so I am hoping to get lots accomplished.

29 Weeks

29 weeks! I feel like the weeks are going by a lot faster now. Thank goodness!

We had our doctor's appointment last Wednesday (this post is very late). Madden weighed 2 lbs 14 oz. Everything looked great! I made it through the glucose test (wasn't bad at all) and the shot (ouch!). Yes, I was freaking out about the shot big time. Matt was probably embarrassed. It did not feel good, however, I am always over dramatic in medical situations. I am happy to say my glucose test came back normal. Yay! Now for the best part of the appointment...pics of our precious baby! Everyone thinks he looks just like Matt (especially the mouth) and I would have to agree! He didn't fully cooperate for his photoshoot. He wanted to stay in a ball and wouldn't stretch out. So all the extra things around his face are arms and legs.

Seeing our little guy's face was such a special moment. There is no way of knowing how many times Matt and I have stared at these pictures. God is so good and I am so incredibly thankful for this little gift I am carrying. Madden, you are already so so loved! 

28 Weeks

We are officially in the third trimester! We have around 12 weeks to go. Wow! Madden probably weighs around 2.5 lbs by now and is around 14 inches long. I'm hoping to get the exact stats at our appointment Wednesday. He is now opening and closing his eyes and can sense changes in light. Pretty neat. My doctor warned me that at around 28 weeks I would really start to feel pregnant. Well she was right. I've been experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions pretty regularly as well as some other lovely pregnancy symptoms. No need to publicly share all of them. Matt probably wishes I would stop sharing them with him : ). Madden is still very active and I hope he continues to be. It's always very comforting to feel him moving around.

I can finally say I have accomplished some things this past week. His bedding is ordered! Huge relief! His room is now cleaned out and ready to be painted thanks to my husband. He cleaned it out today actually. We are registered as of today also. Baby shower dates are set. I think that's all for now. I still have to order a rocking chair and pick out the paint color for his room.

We went to visit our friends, Kelly and Michael Seger, today in the hospital. They had their adorable baby boy, Caden. We were so excited for them. Definitely made Matt and I anxious for our big day! Come on February!

I am already enjoying this week off for Thanksgiving! Matt and I spent the day cleaning the whole house. Always nice to get that done and out of the way. After visiting the Seger's we went to see the Twilight movie. Um, a little too bloody and graphic if you ask me. I don't think I will be watching that one again but I am excited to see how it all ends in the next movie. Tomorrow we are putting up our Christmas decorations. Then Wednesday we get to see our sweet boy at our 4D! Can't wait!

27 Weeks

So I feel like I am in a period of RAPID growth. Literally I feel like I grew just over the weekend. I can't wait to see how he is measuring at our next appointment. Next week we get our 4D and I can't wait! I am ready to see that sweet face! As far as symptoms go, I am pretty much living in the bathroom these days. This child of mine is using my bladder as his pillow. I pretty much never lose the urge to pee (TMI I know but that's what's going on). Nights are even worse. And he is only getting bigger so this is only going to get worse I know. Here is the week 27 pic (which is awful b/c I had just gotten home from work and had to use the timer thing on my camera b/c Matt was not home...just excuse the way I look)

Next week we are off the whole week for Thanksgiving. Yay! Matt doesn't know it yet but I have a pretty long list of things to get done. We still have not completely cleaned out Madden's room which used to be the office. Therefore it still has a TON of junk in it (Matt's junk that is). If I can decide on a paint color, I am going to try to get the room painted. Doubt that will happen, but it is on my list. I also have to shop for a dresser/changing table and finally register. Once I have his room ready I will feel at ease.

On a random note, I am ready to put up Christmas decorations! Think I may do that this weekend so I can enjoy them on my week off. Matt will roll his eyes when he reads this : )
